Just arrived this morning on flight MH123.. hehe! great name for a aircraft.. :P
Encountered a problem yesterday during the check-in process in penang.. Apparently, MAS don't allow 30kg for students anymore.. Not knowing this fact, my check-in luggage was 28.5kg.. So i tried to reduce the weight by transfering more stuff into my backpack.. after painstakingly trying to reduce the weight.. I finally ended up with 23kg of stuff.. Guess what? the lady said there's too much weight now as well.. and said the charges for the extra weight would be 2x44.50=rm89.. this is a little rediculous.. haha! Getting quite pissed.. i decided to reduce the weight sommo by taking clothes into my backpack (which is reaching 8.5kg).. My backpack could not be lifted with a hand.. haha! and my laptop weighs at 5 kg.. in total.. i was carrying 13kg of stuff on my back.. talk about backbone problems.. I guess charging students for extra fees is another 'turnback' tactic by the administration to regain profits.. But in my opinion.. this would also reduce the number of passengers..
Anyway, the flight went on well.. and on reaching KLIA, i chanced upon Kush, a guy from my college! hehe! that was a relieve for the both of us as we could share the taxi charges.. which i forgot to gave him yet..
The flight to Sydney was really pleasant.. Compared to my previous flight on Austrian airlines.. The food was great, it was chicken with rice and prawns and vege and a piece of cake for desert. :) Of course, compared to the meal of my friend taking the business class, this is nothing much, but i'm very tempted to get a second serving.. haha! The best thing about the flight was the new in-flight entertainment system, featuring the new video-on-demand service, which, in my opinion was really great. Not only we don't have to follow the time to watch movies like the old system, it is even possible to forward or rewind the movie. However, the games leaves much to be desired.. i miss the gold old nitenddo games compared to random atari games now.. I miss playing megaman on the old system.. hehe!
Sydney was pretty much the way i left it.. nothing much had changed.. I'm now 'levelled up' literraly from 6nq to 7nj this year.. hehe! Had the VG side, which is much quieter at night compared to the road side rooms, which is good.
